| March 24th, 2003 Folks, I am not a public speaker or activist of any sort, but when I see something that disturbs me, I speak my mind. I don't like war or the thought of people dying, especially over a no nonsense, pathetic, egotistical, paranoid, sadistic piece of shit like Saddam Hussein. More Muslims have died at his hands than any war has, and will continue to if someone doesn't stop him. Not to mention that he would love nothing more than to see all Americans dead and has been the one asking for this war for years. The beauty about America is that we all have the Freedom of Speech, freedom of choice, freedom to bear firearms... hell, we have a lot more freedoms than most other nations. Which is all good & well, except when there are other Americans fighting and sacrificing their lives for those freedoms that we all enjoy day in & day out, and you're crying out against them. Just imagine being over there protesting Saddam for all that he does to his people. It could never happen, he would have you shot on the spot. You have the right to disagree with Bush, hell, I can't stand the moron myself, he's not even supposed to be in office to begin with. And I have the freedom to say that without being shot. BUT, our Men and Women who have been called to duty, that are sacrificing their lives, doing what they signed up for, being in the military service to protect the freedoms that this country is based on, need our support. Our support is their strength, and if they think that we don't support them risking their lives for us, then we're putting more lives at risk. If they can just focus on the task at hand, less Iraqi civilians will be harmed as well as Americans. The protests will not pull our troops out or end this war, it will only discourage our troops. Once everything is all said & done, then protest the President, the Administration or whoever you want, all you want. Until then, SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! And hope for a quick resolution...
Respectfully, Cin
"V.J. FOR PRESIDENT!"
