| David J.
Friello, 47, of North Windham, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July
23, 2008 at Windham Hospital. He was born July 17, 1961 in
Niskayuna, NY. David attended Boces Technical School in Albany,
NY, where he graduated as a certified welder in 1978. He went on
to work for Electric Boat in Groton from 1980 to 1996 where he
was a member of the Welders Union. He worked for various
contractors and currently was employed with Ferguson Electric.
He also served in the Army Reserves. David was an avid NY Yankee
and NASCAR fan. He loved hunting, camping and cooking his
Italian dishes for his friends. Most of all he loved
motorcycles. It was David’s passion. He loved riding with his
true love Carli, all of his J.G.M.C. Brothers and all of his
friends. Dave was the past president of the Cossacks Motorcycle
Club. In recent years he was best known as a highly respected
member of the James Gang Motorcycle Club, and current Vice
President. He was a stand up guy with a heart of gold. He never
left a friend or brother in need. He was loved and respected by
all who knew him. He will be missed by everyone that was lucky
to know him. Until we see you again, we will never forget you
BROTHER! To my David, my best friend, my partner, my lover. You
made me smile, laugh, cry and my life complete. It was a joy to
be with you and my honor to have you in my life, Forever My
Love, Carli. For all who knew him he is irreplaceable and will
be deeply missed. We all love you David and we will leave a
space on the open road for you – Goodbye our friend! He is
survived by the love of his life, Carli Baton of North Windham,
CT his best friend and partner for life and her children Ashlee
and Joe. He leaves a son, Nicholas Friello and his fiancée
Jessica Capen of North Stonington, CT. his mother Rose (Marcoux)
Friello and her life partner Dick Loehr and was predeceased by
his father Dominick Friello. He also leaves four brothers and a
sister; Mike Friello and his wife Lisa, Mark Friello, Ralph
Friello and his wife Laurie, Tommy Cornell and his wife Eve and
a sister Donna D’maicr. He also leaves several nieces and
nephews and a “son” Nicholas Battista and a goddaughter “My
Andrea” Villa. Preceding him in death are his maternal
grandparents Raymond and Rose Marcoux and paternal grandparents
Ernest and Cardilia Friello. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions can be made in his honor to Bikers Against Animal
Cruelty, payable to: B.A.A.C., PO Box 68, North Haven, CT 06473.
His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456
Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday between 2:00 and
5:00pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am on Monday at
the funeral home with burial following in Windham Center
