Thorne & Friends

Companions:  WyldMoonWoman

Hi,

I have attached some pictures of my rescued pit bull, Thorne and a photo of some past fosters, Dolly (white pit bull) and Jud (disabled brindle pit bull).

Thorne is the dog that changed my mind about the pit bull. Before Thorne, having a pit bull was not an option. Thorne was back-yard bred in Albany, NY and spent the first year of her life living with a crack-head in a cage. She definitely suffered some abuse and to this day she is terrified of beer bottles and brooms. The crack-head has a kind brother that got Thorne out and she made her way to our home.

She was not properly socialized and had very bad fear aggression when we got her and she almost didn’t make it with us. As a last ditch effort before having to euthanize we hired a trainer, Catherine Crawmer, to work with us in our home. I am amazed at her complete turn around. Thorne is obedient, she loves to work in the yard hauling wood to the fire-pit, she is gentle with children and had won many hearts with her silly tricks.

I attached the other picture of Dolly and Jud, Dolly was a dog that I fostered for a rescue organization on was placed in November 2006, I miss her terribly, and she was such a nice girl. Jud is a dog that I fostered when his owners had to relocate, Jud had suffered a back injury and has difficulty walking and running, I never thought that anyone would adopt him and we got very lucky, our vet tech fell in love with him and we get to see him all of the time. He will eventually need a wheelchair so we started to save our money to get him a powder coated pimped up ride.
