Zoë's Page
Zoë (a.k.a Pupalech; VJ's Baby Girl) September 28th, 1992 ~ October 22nd, 2001 Forever In Our Hearts Zoë was V.J.'s baby long before I came along. She was the master of his household. She was alpha dog, and it was accepted.
It took some time for me to get used to answering to her, but then I came to appreciate being allowed to visit her house.
She sure knew how to work everyone's heartstrings. She had the most beautiful coat, and she was very proud of it.
In the summertime, we would shave her and she always seemed to know she looked funny without her beautiful coat.
She would actually sulk for a week or two after coming home from the groomer. It was funny for us, because she did look like a totally different breed.
But, before long, she would be back to herself, greeting everyone who walked by, begging at the table, drooling in my shoes. Zoë made several emergency vet visits in the past 3 years of her life for symptoms of drinking a lot, peeing a lot and constantly panting. Every test given to her would come back negative and the symptoms would mysteriously go away after a week or two. We all had our theories of what was wrong with her, but the Vet never found out. Towards the end of the Summer in 2001, the symptoms came back except she had stopped eating as well. Again we brought her to the Vet and again they were clueless. So we admitted her until they could find out. She was even transferred to a specialist for more testing, but they had no more options for us. All that they had come up with through all the tests and ultra sounds was that her Kidneys were failing. It was the most difficult decision of our lives, but we knew what was right for her. We love her and miss her very much, but know that she is at peace. Pet Pals! UrgentHELP!! The Sundance Kid Cowgirl Daisy Mae Our Buddy Weiser Jak The CowPuppies Zoe War Dogs |
